Old Riomar is a
beachside community surrounding the Riomar Golf Club. As one of the original villages
established on the Vero Beach Barrier Island in 1918, it was originally only accessible by boat.
Today,
Old Riomar boasts stately homes nestled under ancient oak trees and sand roads. Riomar is one
of
Vero Beach’s most desired neighborhoods. Most homes in Old Riomar are oceanfront or a short
distance to the ocean with golf privileges available. The Riomar area is well known for its rustic
old
Florida architecture and landscaping with Live Oak canopied streets. Riomar Bay located west of
A1A has riverside homes, many with direct access to the Indian River. The main clubhouse and
tennis facilities are located on west side with cart
crossings for easy access.
