How to Get a Great Deal

1) Figure out how much house you can afford -
. Pre-qualify with the lender of your
choice - sellers require either "proof of funds" or a
pre-qualification letter from your lender before you can even submit an offer. Having this letter
prepares you to be able to make an offer on a great deal.
2. Have realistic expectations of selling price -
. The current
ratio of listing price to final selling price is 93%. The price reductions
of the past 3 years - 30% to 50% - are reflected in the list price by any motivated seller. Well priced homes
